Terms of Use

Last Updated: August 3, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the OurHomii mobile application, website, and related services. By creating an account or using OurHomii, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The OurHomii Service

OurHomii provides tools for people who live together to coordinate household routines, including shared grocery lists, tasks, schedules, messages, and invitations. Features may change as we maintain and improve the service.

2. Accounts and Access

You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

You may not create an account for someone else without permission, impersonate another person, or use the service if you are unable to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Households and Shared Content

OurHomii is collaborative. When you create or join a household, other members may see household content that the service makes available to that household. Only invite people you are authorized to invite, and review household membership before sharing private information.

You retain responsibility for the content you add. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the service to you and your household.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use OurHomii only for lawful household coordination. You must not:

  • Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or misuse an invitation.
  • Upload malware, attack the service, or interfere with another user’s access.
  • Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls.
  • Use OurHomii to send spam, threats, harassment, or deceptive messages.

5. Account and Content Actions

We may limit, suspend, or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or the rights of others; to investigate abuse or security issues; or to comply with law. We may remove content that violates these Terms or creates a risk to the service.

You can delete your account through the available account controls or by contacting support. Deleting an account may not immediately remove content already shared with a household or retained in backups and records described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Services

OurHomii may rely on hosting, authentication, notification, analytics, app-store, and other third-party services. Their terms and policies may apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

7. Intellectual Property

OurHomii and its software, branding, design, and service materials belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service while your account is allowed to access it. These Terms do not transfer ownership of OurHomii or its materials to you.

8. Availability and Disclaimers

We work to keep OurHomii useful and reliable, but the service may be unavailable, delayed, or affected by maintenance, outages, network failures, or events outside our control. OurHomii is a coordination tool and does not replace emergency services, professional advice, or your own judgment.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OurHomii and the people and providers involved in operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, law, or our practices change. We will post the updated Terms and change the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice and ask for renewed consent before you continue using affected features.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the OurHomii service and your place of residence, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections. If a provision is not enforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
